Richard Winterrowd, Associate AIA, Partner

Richard Winterrowd, Associate AIA, co-founded Lewis Associates Architects in 1994 with the vision of bringing great architectural design, interior design and client satisfaction to his hometown of Ponca City. His 25+ years of design and experience show up in every project with his focus on the smallest of details.

Once the client’s program and criteria are created, Richard starts every design process by sketching out conceptual ideas, laying out spatial relationships, and creating a master plan. His designs are not just innovative and unique; they take into account the aesthetic, environmental, functional and sociological needs of the client, program, and site.

Richard’s passion for the historical and religious project types can be seen in the City Hall/No. 1 Fire Station of Ponca City, Grace Episcopal Church, Kay County Court House, and the Marland Grand Home. He continues to find time to design several residential homes each year bringing in another level of expertise and cliental to Lewis Associates Architects.

Richard received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1988. He is a Chairman of the Marland Estate Foundation; Chairman Elect for Ponca City Main Street; Board Member of the Historic Preservation Advisory Panel of Ponca City; Junior Warden for Grace Episcopal Church; a member of the American Institute of Architects, Bike for Brains Grant Review Committee of Kansas City, and the Ponca City Rotary Club.
